Talk Business have recently published an article from Asset Bank’s very own Martin Wilson.

Titled ‘Death of a travelling salesman’, Martin looks at the effects of technology on sales teams.

Martin argues there is no need for a salesman to be on the road any more, citing a range of online tools that can be very effective in helping clinch that major deal.

As our business is Digital Asset Management Software, we like to think we know a little bit about online marketing and sales tools. Though we would love to meet all of our 400 or so customers, unfortunately its just not feasible in terms of a cost-effective use of our time, or logistics, as a large number of our clients are based in the US and Australia.

Instead we try to meet all our clients online. Our sales execs spend most of their time on teleconference or video conference calls or conducting online presentations using tools such as WebEx and GoToMeeting.
